Stem Cell Therapies in Lupus: Exploring Their Role in Immune System Modulation

For patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) who do not respond to conventional treatments, cell-based therapies are being explored as alternative options. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy are among the approaches being investigated for their ability to target immune dysregulation in SLE.
