ARPA-H Aims to Make Osteoarthritis a Regenerative Medicine Target

ARPA-H’s NITRO program is advancing regenerative treatments designed to rebuild cartilage and bone damaged by osteoarthritis, rather than simply manage pain and joint deterioration. With first-in-human trials anticipated next year, the initiative could move osteoarthritis care closer to therapies that restore living joint tissue and reduce reliance on joint replacement surgery.
